Guerrilla Lit Reading Series: Rachel Lyon, Gina Marie Guadagnino, & Leila Rafei

Rachel Lyon is the author of SELF PORTRAIT WITH BOY, which was long-listed for the Center for Fiction's 2018 First Novel Prize and the 2020 International Dublin Literary Award. Her short work has appeared or is forthcoming in publications including One Story, Longreads, Joyland, and Electric Literature. Editor-in-Chief of Epiphany magazine and cofounder of the reading series Ditmas Lit, Rachel has taught at Catapult, the Sackett Street Writers Workshop, Slice Literary, and elsewhere. She lives in Brooklyn, her hometown.

Gina Marie Guadagnino is the author of THE PARTING GLASS. She holds a BA in English from New York University, and an MFA in creative writing from the New School. Her work has appeared in the Morris-Jumel Mansion Anthology of Fantasy and Paranormal Fiction and Mixed Up: Cocktail Recipes (and Flash Fiction) for the Discerning Drinker (and Reader).

Leila Rafei is the author of SPRING, her debut novel to be released in August 2020. Her writing has appeared in news outlets including DC Magazine, Muftah, and Mondoweiss. She grew up in the Washington, DC area, came of age in Cairo, Egypt, and now lives in New York, where she works in communications at the ACLU
